Just More of Miss Mikaela Annette and us

She is a Miss alright.. A little spitfire...oh and a big flirt too. Mikaela now weighs 17lbs 12oz and 27.5 inches long. 40% for weight and 90% height.. However that's all relative when she hits one. Which is in ....2 months :(''''''''' I cannot believe it one already. I just went though all that effort to get her here and now it has been almost a year. I seriously want to relive it again. Yes, you heard me, I would relive every moment again, no matter how much it hurt. They say you forget. I haven't! I have yet to get in my whirlpool tub since that day. For some reason it brings me back to the uncomfortable pressure that got me to finally call my midwife. ( I have to call right away next time) Ya know how you avoid things with a bad memory. Well this is not a bad memory but it just brings me back and that wasn't a good feeling at that moment in time. I will get over it. I did with the hallway. I paced so long in that upstairs hallway alone with my two cats and of course my baby girl. When we came home I never stood in the hallway too long or sat on the futon to long either.

Any hoo back to life.....

Mikaela is 10 months This coming Sunday....WOW!!!!! She is the best thing ever. Matty and I are so outrageously happy. Out of everything I have done in the world I never felt like I was in my thing. Well, being a mommy is!!! I found my niche!!!

House news:

Matty is slowly finishing up the mudroom. It really needs to get finished. Little Miss is picking at the plaster on the walls. We are just about done with the rearrange in the living room.. Our new couches come in Friday. I just need to finish painting. Once that is all set and I get going on my projects for grad school we can complete the playroom.

For those of you who know our home. Where my computer was the room with a door or window on each wall and the stairs too. Well that room is empty. Matty is completing the trim around everything. Making sure there is no lead paint if there was. I have to repaint everything even though when I was nesting I painted that room and ripped off the trim when I was told to just be pregnant. ;) We are than going too re steam clean the carpet cover with a vapor barrier and nail it under the baseboard. Than we are going to lay the soft foam tiles over. So it is a soft place for play and When Mikaela Spits up or spills something it doesn't leak through the crack in the soft tiles. It will also make it a great room for painting and our large chalkboard. One of the walls we are paint with chalkboard paint. The rest of the room will be a cookie crumble color. (Tan) The color will be her toys and a little in the curtains and the soft tiles. I also think I am going to have a pop art photo of Miss Mikaela in there for wall decor. That will be way cool once that is done.

SO glad we have a playroom for her. I have it all gated off. So now when she is mobile I can put her in her playroom( more or less a giant play pen) make lunch, get the phone or change the laundry over with out have to bring her up and down the stairs 50 times. She is safe in her little room

Let 's just skip crawling all together

Hi everyone. Well it has been awhile since I have been on here since I was pregnant.

Mikaela is growing in leaps and bounds. Literally.... Leaps and bounds. She is pulling her self up to standing and trying to just stand up on her own. She started crawling last weekend, but is more interested in trying to walk. Just the other day I heard this loud boom and I thought she had climbed out of her crib, but no... as I ran I up the stairs to her room, she had not. Mikalea, my sweet, sweet adventurous girl. She is leaping up like a little frog to standing position but crashing head first into the side boards of her crib and laughing about it. Silly girl, doesn't know that she isn't stable enough to stand without support yet, but I giver her credit. The poor thing, she has bump her head so many times but has cried less then the number of times she has bumped it.

She weighs 17 lbs and is 27" She has lots of hair getting thicker by the week,,strawberry blonde. You can see theints of red in there. I love it. I just love the color. Granted that is the color of my hair as a little girl. I cannot wait until I can braid it and put it in ponytails. She has two bottom teeth and four top front teeth working their way in. She is refusing to eat solids because her mouth is bugging her. We actually got her a vibrating teether ring and she loves it. She buzzed her self all the way home form Babies R Us. ( That sounds bad LOL)

We are all anxiously awaiting the birth of the newest addition to our family. Michelle and Pete
( Matt's Brother) are due any day. We are all dying to see if it is going to be an Emelia or a Benjamin. I will let you all know as soon I I know

Matt and I are well. I am stying home Until Sept and longer if I can make it work. Matt is great ( so good to us and wonderful Daddy and Husband) So helpful. He is off riding his bike on the rocky trails now that it is nice and puttering around the house. We are trying to make a play room for Mikaela and complete the kitchen addition( That has been on hold since Mikaela's room was in the making). We are getting new couches and rearranging our living. If you have been to our house it is very difficult to rearrange furniture because every freaking wall have a door or window. Anyhoo that's us in a nut shell

Here are a few pic if Mikaela being her adventurous self 9 MONTHS wow time flys
