Mikaela's First Snow!!!

Mikaela had her first real snow day. All she did was stare up into the sky. I don't think she got what was happening at first. We went out later that day with Daddy and all Mikay kept on sayin was "Oh No!" However she says "Oh No" for everything. She had fun picking up the snow and staring off into the snowflakes. She likes to help Daddy shovel and even more so wanted to help run the snow blower. It was a good day and very pretty to see all the snow. ...to add; it's all slush now. The only bad thing about Southeastern Mass is the snow always turns to mush, the snow falls to rain and it dowen't last for very long. I miss the snow in Western Mass.

First Hair Cut!

Hi Ladies and Gents

Mikaela got her first haircut the day before Turkey Day!!!. She did very well but of course her Tia Michelle cut her hair so it was easier for her to have her hair cut with someone familiar. At first I only wanted her bangs trimmed but her Tia said she could clean it up without loosing to much length. She now has a cute little bob. SO CUTE!!!! She looks like a little girl instead of a baby now. I miss her curls and so does her Gramma, Nana and Daddy too!! Her hair is so thick. No pig tails for the time being but her hair grows fast. I miss the crazy curls but they are making their way back.

Update:
Little Miss's attitude is shinning through. 16 months on Nov 27th and boy it was like someone turn her on full. She is a handful. Very curious; Little miss fix it. I love every minute of being home with her but I tell ya she gives us a run for our money. My little partner in crime;) She commits more toddler crimes then ever. SO FUN!!!! She gave her Nana a run for her money one night while Mommy and Daddy were at the Patriots Eagles game.

We don't like Santa not even a plush Santa doll. Doesn't like to touch the Christmas tree but loves the little lights. She thinks they are little microphones and tries to sing into them.

Family Day at WPI

Matty is finally done with school...We'll for now . Let's hope. ;) We took a trip up to Worcester Polytechnics Institute to pick up his degree. Matt now has 3 degrees This will be his 2nd Master's Degree., in Computer and Electrical Engineering plus a certificate in Data Security. What a Smart cookie I have. I'm so proud of him. Now he just needs to relax and let me catch up. Of course that will cost me a lot of money to do that. I am fine with the one Master's but who knows what I will want to pursue in the future. I do have to say that we are very fortunate that Matty has been given the opportunity to receive such an education with out any school debt.

First Thanks to Linda, (his mom) for paying for his undergrad schooling at UMASS Dartmouth. She paid for both of her boys all by herself. What a feat! I applaud you Mom!!!

Thank you!!! We both are glad we don't have any bills for that. Matty and I hope to be able to do the same for our kids.

Second General Dynamics, where Matt works, picked up the tab on his 2nd and 3rd Degrees. Northeastern and WPI. No School debt ..we'll except for mine but mine are small compared to some people I know. I consider my debt fortunate but still a long time to pay off.

What's new with Mikay!!!!!

Ok time for new pictures; I am slacking. I know but grad school is bogging me down. Just one more project to hand in and I am free of homework.

Ok Here's Mikaela in a nutshell

14 months. 20 lbs, 30 inches. 8 teeth ( 4 top, 4 bottom, 1 molar on the way)
Still has blue blue eyes, and golden blond hair with highlights from the summer. ( getting very thick)

She walks, She Talks. She knows how to sign, Gives kisses and hugs. Loves to have Mommy and Daddy kiss each other and have family hugs when Daddy gets home from work.

( Sign Language): eat, stars, please, more, milk, drink, banana, bird, chicken, duck, fish, thank you, hot, bath, fishy, moon, light, all done

SPEAKS: "Hi , Hello, kitty, doggie, Thank You! ( that's a new one) Mommy and Daddy of course, Nana, Ana, Jelly cat( yes, she said jelly cat, it's one of her favorite sleeping buddies) What's that?" Uh-0h! Down! Up! Na-night ( her blanket)

She can identify the following and answers: Kitty says-Meow, Doggie says- woof, woof, Duck says- quack, quack, Cow says- moo, Fishy- Well that's a thought one she opens and closes her mouth like a fish

She can point to your nose, eyes, hair, mouth, She'll show you where or fanny is and her Tutu
(It's much cuter to have her say Tutu than vagina.) Don't laugh, I grew up just fine with calling it a Tutu. I know it is really a vagina but we like Tutu, Right Ana????!!!

She love gymnastics at The Little Gym on Thursdays ( she tries to copy the big kids and does somersaults and tries really hard to do a back bend). Tumble Bugs on Mondays @ the YMCA and Swimming lesson on Wednesdays. Yes we are very busy bees!

She can dance like a pro and sings with the best. Loves to spin and sing to Britney's new song ( Yes, Britney Spears! ( Hey she may not be in the best of shape right now but her personal life is none of my business. Leave the girl alone, She still has good music) Oh yes Mikaela Loves to listen to Hannah Montana and Ralph's Word too. LOVE's Little Einstein's, Rocket is her favorite, Charlie and Lola,and the Backyardigans . When we need some down time we tried to find our favorite shows like Sesame Street or Little Einstein's but that isn't very often. We are always playing outside or at the Library.Mommy has the theme song to The little Einstein's down pat and Mikaela joins in singing it too. Oh yea I forgot she likes to talk on the phone. She has accidentally called many people. Loves to spin to Ring-Around-the-Rosie.

Already a little Mommy!
Mikaela love to walk her babies, Molly and Lola in her stroller. Mikaela walks around with her babies in her arms rocking them to sleep and of course knows how to burb her baby. Daddy taught her how to Burp the Baby! LOL SO CUTE!!!!!!

Potty Time!!!
We have begun potty time. Everyday at bath time we have potty time and sit on her potty. (Picture above) She like to sit in her little potty seat on the big potty instead of her little potty just for her. She insists on putting her potty seat on the big potty to use. She has used it once #2. We were very proud and so was she. She knows when she has to go and makes the sitting motion. Now just to work on letting us know when she has to go. SHE JUST GOES!!!! with out warning and than laughs. That's how we know she has gone. She tells us after, little stinker.

HHMM what else
oh yeah the Cats are afraid of her. They run for the highest spot to get away from her. But Mikaela loves to cuddle with her kittys' when they let her. I have been trying to get pictures of that but no luck yet.

Miss Mikaela and More

ok So it has been forever since I last posted pics of Miss Mikaela.

well today we had our official family photos taken at Borderland State park. I cannot wait to see them. I have never had a family photo taken in all my life. So this was a very special day for me. Mikaela was her bouncy self. She has been teething some fierce molars so her disposition has not been like her. However today she was stellar. She was hooked on raspberries. She was so funny. There were some awesome pics of daddy and her and of course a great family pic. Once they are posted I will sent out the link for all to view. I cannot wait to have a good size family portrait on our living room wall. She will never be one again and I am so glad we caught it on a great summer day like today. Well I am attaching some pics. from 10 mos 11 mos and recent oh yeah and my dear sweet Mila monster at 1 month old.
Mikaela can now stand on her own and takes 4-5 steps before she falls. She can stand up and down without support. She is going to have quads of steel with all the squats she does. she has 6 teeth 4 top and to bottom front. She Says Mama when she needs me/ so all the time. She says yea!!!, bye bye, HI, Dada but doesn't quite use it for daddy. Dada is used for everything from dog to duck to cat to eat. She can say Nana and knows when to use it. We were at Na na's last week and she was calling her until she answered like she does with me. She loves the water. She drinks from a cup , we hardly use the bottle anymore. We are starting to potty train ( she is interested in sitting on the potty) Oh yeah and our dairy free diet is over. We can eat everything. I love it!!!. No more worrying about what is in what. She had pancakes and toast this morning. Loves juice boxes especially after they are empty.

I have to say it, in two weeks Mikaela is 1year OMG!!! This year flew and it was so much fun. She is the best!!!!!

Mother's Day

Mother's day wasn't what I expected. However Matty said he was waiting upon my gift. I did get beautiful roses and a lovely card. A week later I got what I have been wanting for so long since before Mikaela was born. A canon camcorder, I am so excite. It's so small I love it. now I can capture Matty and Mikaela and all our family moments.

Mikaela is turning into to the most beautify entity in my life. I never thought show would have such a beautiful personality. A little ham an flirt and mischievous little shit!!!!. She absolutely melt my heart each and everyday. I never thought I would find anyone who could melt my heart like her Daddy but I did. I just hope that someday when we get past the teenage years where she hates me we can be beautiful friends, still her mother and respecting the boundaries but a friend that she always knows that mom is there 100% ( even if I don't feel it's the right path I will support her journey in life) I will just make sure that I and her Daddy are there to catch her if really need be. I hope that she grows up to be a beautiful independent woman that knows how to do everything and anything. Or at least try it.

A little thing like Miss Mikaela

She is very sweet. I have yet to see her again. I saw her in the hospital and that has been it. Mikaela and I need to make a trip out. I can't wait to see her at 9 months old.
